Dermaplaning in Aveley, South Ockendon

Dermaplaning is a precise exfoliation treatment. A sterile surgical blade is used to gently remove the top layer of dead skin cells and the fine, soft vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the face.

The result is instantly smoother, brighter skin, make-up that sits beautifully, and skincare that can absorb more effectively. It is one of our most popular treatments before a special occasion.

Who it helps

  • Dull, tired-looking skin
  • Rough or uneven texture
  • Visible peach fuzz that catches make-up
  • Anyone preparing for an event, holiday or photographs
  • Clients wanting to get more from their home skincare

What to expect

  1. Skin check. Dermaplaning is not suitable over active acne breakouts, so your skin is assessed first.
  2. The treatment. Your skin is cleansed and prepped, then carefully dermaplaned. It is painless and relaxing.
  3. Finishing. The Dermaplaning Facial includes high frequency and a soothing, hydrating mask, finished with aftercare advice and SPF.

Frequently asked questions

Will my facial hair grow back thicker or darker?

No. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair at the surface. It does not change the hair follicle, so hair grows back the same as before.

Can I have dermaplaning if I have acne?

Dermaplaning is not carried out over active, inflamed breakouts. If you have active acne, the Acne Essential Facial is a better starting point. We can talk this through at consultation.

How often can I have dermaplaning?

Roughly every four weeks, in line with your skin's natural renewal cycle. I will advise what is right for your skin.

Is there any downtime?

Usually none. Your skin may look slightly pink for a short time. Daily SPF is essential afterwards.
