Not always. The Luminous Refining Peel is designed for no planned downtime, although light dryness or flaking can occur. With the Signature Radiance Peel, peeling or flaking may occur for 3 to 5 days, and with the Green Herbal Resurfacing Peel for 1 to 5 days, depending on your skin. I will tell you exactly what to expect before your treatment.
A single peel gives a fresh, brighter look. For pigmentation, acne marks and texture, a course of peels spaced a few weeks apart usually gives the best results. Your plan is agreed at consultation.
Peels can be suitable for all skin types when the right type and strength is chosen and the skin is properly prepared. Some skin tones have a higher risk of pigmentation after inflammation, which is exactly why a consultation comes first.
Many peels are not recommended during pregnancy. Please tell me if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The Pregnancy-Safe Glow Facial is designed for this stage.
Avoid heat, heavy exercise, active ingredients and sun exposure for the period advised, and wear a broad-spectrum SPF every day. Full written aftercare is given after your treatment.
